Agrifarm Concept barn with 5140 stalls and Agri AirClean for ammonia and odour reduction
Kim’s Agrifarm Concept pig stable for finisher is the first of its kind. The choice of the Agrifarm concept allowed Kim to build for 20,000 produced pigs per. year against 12,000 pigs produced per. years if he had chosen a traditional building without environmental technology. Agri AirClean air purification reduces the barn’s impact on the environment and thus future-proofs Kim’s business.
The stable contains:
- 5140 pens for an annual production of approx. 21,000 finishers
- Hybrid ventilation – better stable climate with less energy consumption
- High pressure cooling – cooling the barn and bleeding before washing
- Automatic slurry disposal
- Slurry cooling provides the heat in the barn, respectively underfloor heating and space heating
- Wide aisles ensure quick handling when pigs are handed over.
