About New Products at Agromek
A two or three-star Agromek news means that it is a product that is new on the market, while one star illustrates that the product is new for the exhibitor, but that there are similar products on the market. Three-star news also contains information on whether the news is new in Europe, or if it only applies to Denmark.

It is the fourth time that Agrifarm presents a Three-Star Europe New Product at Agromek. In 2009 and 2012 several of the company’s environmental technologies won the Agromek-award in separate categories. The company has also received EU’s Environment Award in 2011-2012.

Foulum, September 26th 2014

The company Agrifarm presents the new product ”Agri Air Clean – Effective emission reduction” at this year’s Agromek.  “Agri Air Clean” is selected as a Three-Star Europe New Product within the category of stable mechanization. It is the fourth time that Agrifarm presents a Three-Star Europe New Product at Agromek.

Agrifarm specializes in development and sales of environmental friendly housing systems for cows and pigs. The housing systems contribute to reducing the environmental impact with up to 75 %, and the technologies improve the housing climate along with decreasing the energy consumption significantly. With the new technology, Agrifarm wants to change the perception of what is possible in relation to reducing odor in cattle and pig houses.

Effective emission reduction

Agrifarm’s new product, Agri Air Clean, is a modular air cleaner, which removes problematic gases such as ammonia and hydrogen sulphide from cattle and pig farms in the stable by means of a photochemical cleaning process.

In combination with Agrifarm’s unique stable solutions for cows and pigs, the company saw a need for the development of an effective air cleaning technique, which was easy to use and economical attractive for the farmer. It is possible with the new cleaning technology, by means of a floor suction , to collect an emission quantity, which has not been possible to collect earlier on, with very high efficiency. Another advantage of the cleaning technology is that it can be turned on and off as needed with a high effect from the beginning. This is possible, because it is not a biological process, but a chemical process that is taking place.

Get infomation about the new cleaning technology at Agromek

You can meet Agrifarm at stand L 9270 at this year’s Agromek which takes place from the 25th to 28th of November 2014 at the exhibition centre Messecenter Herning..

Agri Air Clean is modular in relation to volume of air and the cleaning level and is initially delivered in two different versions – 90/75 with a cleaning effect of 90 % ammonia and 75 % odor and 90/90 with a cleaning effect of 90% ammonia and 90% odor.

- We have been looking forward to introduce our new product Agri Air Clean at Agromek, and we hope that the farmers will give it a good reception, states Hans Jørgen Pedersen, Managing director in Agrifarm.

The two barn construction companies Gråkjær and AGRIFARM collaborate on housing concept Intellifarm for pig production and dairy production.

Gråkjær A / S and AGRIFARM have agreed to share knowledge and resources to take advantage of each other's skills, providing a number of benefits for Danish farmers. It is the barn concept Intellifarm® developed by AGRIFARM, which in the future can be sold and constructed by employees in Gråkjær A / S.

"This agreement allows both companies the opportunity to increase the volume of construction of new large production projects. We have the expertise to build barns in a turnkey contract, and we see opportunities in the housing concept, which AGRIFARM developed. Gråkjær continues to work with customized farm buildings and barn concepts. At the moment we are developing the Welfare barn for pigs. We see this agreement as an extension of our product portfolio and believe that large high-tech barns will be constructed in the future. IntelliFarm fits nicely here "says Martin Rindom, sales director at Gråkjær A/ S.

Intellifarm for pigs and cattle

Intellifarm®, developed by MT Højgaard and later AGRIFARM, is characterized to be a big scale production unit, and having a reduced environmental impact and low energy consumption as well as a significantly improved working logistic. There are currently two housing units based in the concept in production and another project is ready to start in the fall. "We want to stand apart from the rest of the market by entering into this Agreement. The extra capacity Gråkjær can bring us, ensures that our product will be sold in a larger number, with optimal logistics and for same competitive price for the farmer, "justifies, Hans Jorgen Pedersen CEO and Partner in AGRIFARM”, the cooperation. The work on environment applications, Gråkjær performs at their environmental center, so the positive results we already have in relation to ammonia and odor emissions from Intellifarm, will secure that many barns in the future can be constructed in accordance with this barn concept."

More animals on the same farm

With Intellifarm, we reduce the emissions from both cow barns and pig houses so effective, that we simply make room for more animals on the same environmental approval. Intellifarm is in other words, the possibility for a larger production with, at best, less emissions or at least the same emissions. Intellifarm also make it much easier and more straightforward to manage a major production. We are securing an environmentally sound production, a more efficient and far more competitive production. That is exactly what the agriculture business and the surrounding environment needs in a time of great foreign competition and a sharp authority focus on the environment.

Barns with increased welfare

The Intellifarm technologies are not only environment friendly, but also the indoor climate - and thus animal welfare - is very much improved, because of less ammonia and odor concentration in the animal occupied zone. The logistics of the stables is greatly improved compared to traditional housing types. Intellifarm thus becomes a win for all those who live and work in the stables - be it animals, farmers or employees. Summarizing all the benefits of IntelliFarm revolutionary technologies, then it means that today we have every opportunity to realize a production in Denmark, which is far ahead of everyone else, when it comes to a better environment, increased animal welfare and lower energy consumption. So let expertise and innovation go hand in hand.

Gråkjær A/S and AGRIFARM together offer the best construction process for production optimized agricultural buildings for Danish and foreign farmers.
